Northern Renaissance and the Scientific Revolution
The Northern Renaissance and the Scientific Revolution are two of the most important events in Western history. It was the invention of printing by Johann Gutenberg circa 1450 that gave Europe the Florentine Renaissance including such ideas as perspective geometry, humanism, the Protestant Reformation, and the Scientific Revolution which provided new ways of examining the natural world.
