Kimmel Hearings

On August 25, 1995 Edward A. Beach posted the transcript below. Sometime after February 2009, the page went down. The transcript is of the meeting of the Office of the Secretary of Defense and members of the family of Rear Admiral Husband E. Kimmel. The subject of that meeting was the posthumous advancement of Kimmel to the rank of Admiral under the Officer Personnel act of 1947. The document is important to anyone interested in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and its aftermath. It is reproduced here by agreement.
